Beaumont gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 51-14 win over the San Jacinto Tigers. The Cougars have beaten the Tigers the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.

Beaumont's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jeremiah Duhu led the charge by throwing for 235 yards and three TDs, while also rushing for 44 yards and a pair of scores. A healthy portion of Duhu's aerial production (153 yards to be exact) went to Braedon Miller, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beaumont will face off against Cathedral at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for San Jacinto, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against King at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
