Soccer Game Preview: Kingwood Park vs. Pasadena

The Kingwood Park Panthers will challenge the Pasadena Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Kingwood Park is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 11 games.

Kingwood Park's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top against Splendora by a score of 2-0. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Wildcats are ranked 580th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pasadena). They were the clear victor by a 6-2 margin over Splendora on Tuesday. The score was close at the half, but the Eagles pulled away in the second half with four goals.

Kingwood Park's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those eight games. As for Pasadena, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.
