Volleyball Recap: Wheeling Central Catholic Falls Short Against Ranked Oak Glen

Wheeling Central Catholic faced Oak Glen in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Maroon Knights took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Bears. The Maroon Knights haven't had much luck with the Golden Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-20.

Wheeling Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Oak Glen, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-10-3.

Coincidentally, Wheeling Central Catholic and Oak Glen will both be playing Charleston Catholic the next time they take the court. The Maroon Knights will host the Irish at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Golden Bears will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
