Volleyball Recap: Venice Indians vs. Canterbury Cougars

Venice was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Canterbury Cougars.

While Venice had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21.

Tien Murray paced Venice's offense, picking up nine kills. Murray got some help from Amelia Anselmi and her 20 assists. Murray was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Venice's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Canterbury, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-8.
