Basketball Recap: Lifespring Academy's Loss Ends 12-Game Winning Streak at Home

LifeSpring Academy entered their game against Coastal Brigade on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The LifeSpring Academy Lions lost 55-32 to Coastal Brigade. The match marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Coastal Brigade found their leader in sophomore Beau Brake, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine boards. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for Brake. Liam Harris was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to eight blocks and five rebounds.

LifeSpring Academy's loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-4. As for Coastal Brigade, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. LifeSpring Academy has already played their next game (against New Life Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Coastal Brigade will square off against Gramercy Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gramercy Christian will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Coastal Brigade surely won't give up without a fight.
