Softball Recap: Prairie Heights Takes a Loss

Prairie Heights was the 4-0 winner over Garrett when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Railroaders on Friday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Prairie Heights saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Wells, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Prairie Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Garrett, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Prairie Heights will welcome Fort Wayne Bishop Luers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Panthers are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Garrett, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Fort Wayne Snider at 10:00 a.m.
