Recap: East Jordan Red Devils vs. Elk Rapids Elks
The East Jordan Red Devils lost against the Elk Rapids Elks back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. East Jordan took a hard 57-38 fall against Elk Rapids. East Jordan has not had much luck with Elk Rapids recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why East Jordan lost, one person who can't be blamed is Angel Delgado. Despite the final result, he scored eight points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellis Malpass, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
East Jordan's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Elk Rapids, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Jordan will challenge Harbor Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully East Jordan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Thursday. As for Elk Rapids, they will head out on the road to square off against Grayling at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Elk Rapids is facing Grayling at the right time seeing as Grayling is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
