Football Recap: Calhoun Skates Past Ridgeland with Ease + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Calhoun). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 49-0 win over the Ridgeland Panthers. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Yellow Jackets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Panthers are ranked 348th).

Calhoun's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Justin Beasley, who picked up 181 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Beasley is crushing it when it comes to receiving yards: he's posted at least 105 every time he's taken the field this season. Hudson Chadwick was another key rusher, rushing for 59 yards and one TD.

Calhoun will head out to face off against Northwest Whitfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Yellow Jackets will need to watch out since the Bruins have now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests. As for Ridgeland, they will welcome Adairsville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
