Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Excel Christian Academy's Fourth in Last Five Outings

If True North wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Excel Christian Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Kaiden Ward. The Excel Christian Academy Eagles claimed a resounding 79-44 victory over the True North Knights thanks in part to Ward, who dropped a double-double with 40 points and 20 boards. His big performance that evening made it 14 games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points.

Excel Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points over those games. True North's loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Excel Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 80-36 win against Waco Christian on the 21st. True North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
