Preview: Plainview Bulldogs vs. Cooper Cougars
Plainview has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge The Cooper Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Plainview is ranked 369th, while Cooper is ranked 380th).
Last Friday, Plainview took their game at home with ease, bagging a 41-12 win over Lubbock. With Plainview ahead 27-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Cooper can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 28-21 win over Palo Duro. The win was just what Cooper needed coming off of a 42-21 defeat in their prior contest.
Daniel Bray was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns.
Plainview's win pushed their record up to 5-2, while Cooper's bumped their own up to the opposite: 2-5.
Plainview was taken down by Cooper 45-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Plainview, Cam Herron (who rushed for 22 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 76 receiving yards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
