Firelands barely beat Wellington the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Falcons were the clear victors by  a  15-2 margin over the Dukes on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won three matchups by 13  runs or more  so far this season.
Firelands got a  massive  performance out of  Lexi Schrader, who  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 3-for-4. With that strong performance,  Schrader is now averaging an impressive 1.1  stolen bases per game. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aubrynn Reichle, who  went 2-for-3 with four  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base.
 Firelands was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .357 or higher in three consecutive  games.
Firelands' win  ended  a  four-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 4-5. As for Wellington,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-5.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Firelands is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Columbia  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Wellington will  take on  rival Black River  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
