Softball Recap: Dixie County Comes Up Short

If Dixie County was riding high fresh off their 14-2 takedown of Hamilton County last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Dixie County lost 11-1 to the Bell Bulldogs on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 last Thursday.

Dixie County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lizzi Parker, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Dixie County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Bell, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dixie County will square off against Chiefland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bell, they will take on Madison County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
