Basketball Recap: North Posey's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

North Posey entered their tilt with Tell City on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Tell City Marksmen 49-27. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Marksmen are ranked 203rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Posey to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alyssa Heath, who went 6 for 15 on her way to 14 points and five assists. Those five assists gave Heath a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ella Weatherholt, who posted eight points and four steals.

North Posey has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.9 points per game. As for Tell City, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Posey will face off against South Spencer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tell City, they will take on Springs Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
