Baseball Game Preview: Fair Grove Eagles vs. Springfield Catholic Fighting Irish

The Fair Grove Eagles will head out to face off against the Springfield Catholic Fighting Irish at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fair Grove will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Fair Grove made easy work of Reeds Spring and carried off a 9-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Springfield Catholic beat Ozark 6-2 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Fighting Irish.

Fair Grove pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Springfield Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.
