Softball Recap: St. Paul Central Comes Up Short

St. Paul Central entered their match against Minneapolis Southwest on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Minutemen lost 13-2 to the Lakers. That's two games in a row now that the Minutemen have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Frances McNattin was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for St. Paul Central and nudges their season record down to 5-2. As for Minneapolis Southwest, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4.

Looking ahead, St. Paul Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Richfield at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Minneapolis Southwest, they will square off against Academy of Holy Angels at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
