Softball Recap: Ripon Takes a Loss

Ripon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mayville Cardinals. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Bryn Carlson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Hayden Baker was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Ripon's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mayville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ripon will welcome Kettle Moraine Lutheran at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Tigers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Mayville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
