Sun Valley Magnet is a perfect 7-0 against Valley Oaks CES since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Pioneers will be playing at home against the Vanguards at 3:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sun Valley Magnet has five straight wins, Valley Oaks CES has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Sun Valley Magnet will bounce into Thursday's match after beating Lakeview Charter, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Pioneers blew past the Lions 17-5 on Monday. Considering the Pioneers have won four contests by more than 11 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Valley Oaks CES lost 21-9 to Discovery on Monday.

Sun Valley Magnet pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.5 runs over those games. As for Valley Oaks CES, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
