Basketball Game Preview: Rock Island Rocks vs. Galesburg Silver Streaks

The Rock Island Rocks will head out on the road to take on the Galesburg Silver Streaks at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

On Thursday, Rock Island was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 64-60 to Moline.

Meanwhile, Galesburg entered their tilt with Geneseo on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Maple Leafs with a sharp 45-22 win. The Silver Streaks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 22 points or more this season.

Rock Island's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Galesburg, their record now sits at 21-6.

Things could have been worse for Rock Island, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 47-33 loss to Galesburg in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Rock Island avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
