Basketball Recap: Pontiac Comes Up Short

Pontiac lost against Mahomet-Seymour back in February of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pontiac Indians were dealt a 76-42 defeat at the hands of the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pontiac's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Mahomet-Seymour, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-10.

Pontiac and Mahomet-Seymour could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Pontiac (ranked 337th) will meet Tolono Unity (ranked 89th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mahomet-Seymour will square off against Normal Community at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 206 places (248 vs. 42).
