Volleyball Recap: Elba Victorious

Elba hadn't done well against Giltner recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bluejays narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Hornets 2-1. This was payback for the Bluejays, who suffered a 2-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Elba was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (65-60), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 10-25, 25-19, 25-21.

Addison Wysocki paced Elba's offense, picking up ten kills. Wysocki got some help from Lacey Barg and her 19 assists. Wysocki also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Shia Rasmussen, racking up two apiece.

The win got Elba back to even at 4-4. As for Giltner, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Elba has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Newman Grove/St. Edward on the 16th. Giltner has also already played their next game (against Sandy Creek), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
