Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ledford). They blew past the Montgomery Central Timberwolves 89-50 on Friday. The Panthers have beaten the Timberwolves the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Timberwolves has come to flipping the script.

Isaiah Peele was his usual excellent self, going 6 of 12 on his way to 18 points and six assists. That's the most assists he has posted since back in December of 2023. Sean Taylor was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds.

Ledford smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Montgomery Central's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Brady Fowler, who went 8 for 15 to rack up 21 points, and Kameron Robinson, who went 5 of 8 en route to 12 points and seven boards. Robinson is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played.

Ledford's win bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Montgomery Central, they dropped their record down to 0-17 with the loss, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Ledford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 76-70 defeat against Oak Grove on the 4th. As for Montgomery Central, they have also already played their next match, a 74-20 loss against Central Davidson on the 4th.
