Clinton has gone a perfect 3-0 against Newberry recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. Clinton will head out to challenge Newberry at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Clinton and four for Newberry.

Last Tuesday, Clinton came up short against Chester and fell 7-4.

Meanwhile, Newberry also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Whitmire by a score of 9-6.

Courtney Scurry was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Ozaria Goree was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-1. As for Newberry, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Clinton took their victory against Newberry in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Clinton since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
