Casey-Westfield has gone a perfect 3-0 against Danville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Warriors will face off against the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. Casey-Westfield knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Danville likes a good challenge.
On Tuesday, Casey-Westfield made easy work of Hutsonville/Palestine and carried off a 15-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 19 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Casey-Westfield let Gabriela Frye and Allyson Truelove run wild. Frye went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases, while Truelove went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those four runs gave Frye a new career-high. Tristan Ring was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Casey-Westfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hutsonville/Palestine only posted an OBP of .231.
Meanwhile, Danville came up short against Bloomington on Tuesday, falling 9-2. The Vikings have struggled against the Purple Raiders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.
Danville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paisley Bean, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
Casey-Westfield is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 19 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Danville, they now have a losing record of 9-10.
Danville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Casey-Westfield has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.6 hits per game. It's a different story for Danville, though, as they've been averaging 9.1 hits. Given Casey-Westfield's sizable advantage in that area, the Vikings will need to find a way to close that gap.
Casey-Westfield took their win against Danville in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
