Softball Recap: Decatur Eisenhower Takes a Loss

Decatur Eisenhower was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 19-1 to the St. Teresa Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 last Wednesday.

Makaela Luthey Harner was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. Luthey Harner is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Decatur Eisenhower's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for St. Teresa, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.

Decatur Eisenhower didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 20-1 defeat against Rochester on the 9th. As for St. Teresa, they have also already played their next contest, a 19-7 win against Shelbyville on the 8th.
