Recap: McEwen Warriors vs. Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Tigers
The McEwen Warriors fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They blew past Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central 50-21 on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as McEwen also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2022.
Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central's lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Daegan Collins, who rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. Collins was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 57 yards.
McEwen's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McEwen will take on Houston County at 7:01 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Houston County is ranked 275th, while McEwen is ranked 287th). As for Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Perry County at 7:00 p.m. Perry County is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
