It was a good run, but Bishop Heelan Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kuemper Knights. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Bishop Heelan Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Kuemper, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1.

Bishop Heelan Catholic and Kuemper should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Iowa Rankings. The Crusaders (ranked 94th) will meet Jefferson (ranked 295th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kuemper will take on Shenandoah at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (18 vs. 274).
