Volleyball Recap: Norwayne Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Norwayne lost to Washington back in September of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Bobcats came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 2-0. The victory was nothing new for the Bobcats as they're now sitting on three straight.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Norwayne was: they took both sets by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-4, 25-10.

Norwayne can attribute much of their success to Laney Dudte, who had five digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Dudte a new career-high. Cherish Bell also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Norwayne was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in four consecutive games.

Norwayne's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Norwayne didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Bowsher on the 13th. As for Washington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Crestwood on the 13th.
