Basketball Game Preview: Clear Creek Wildcats vs. Dickinson Gators

The Clear Creek Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Dickinson Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Clear Creek sitting on five straight wins and Dickinson on four.

On Friday, Clear Creek humbled Clear Springs with a 62-29 victory. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Dickinson slipped by Deer Park 55-54 on Friday. Given the Gators' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Deer are ranked 337th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Clear Creek is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Dickinson, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-8.

Clear Creek lost to Dickinson on the road by a decisive 62-45 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Clear Creek avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
