Basketball Recap: Roosevelt Roughriders vs. Berthoud Spartans
Roosevelt lost against Berthoud back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Roosevelt Roughriders fell 66-57 to the Berthoud Spartans. The Roughriders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Roosevelt saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Noah Lucero went 7-for-14 on his way to 19 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. The dominant performance gave Lucero a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Nolan Peterson, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds.
Ryan Callies was nothing short of spectacular for Berthoud: he went 8-for-18 to rack up 27 points and three steals. Berthoud is undefeated when Callies posts 20 or more points, but 4-12 otherwise. Isaac Erickson was another key player, putting up 13 points and six boards.
