Basketball Recap: Rowan Yerrington's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Timberlake Christian over Faith Christian

Timberlake Christian lost against Faith Christian back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Timberlake Christian Tornadoes fell 50-43 to the Faith Christian Warriors.

Timberlake Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Rowan Yerrington, who went 6-for-15 to rack up 17 points and five steals. Those five steals gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caelyn Davis, who posted eight points and seven rebounds.

Faith Christian was led to victory by Savannah Green and Lillia Joseph. Green dropped a double-double with 22 points and 21 boards, while Joseph dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten rebounds. Joseph has become a key player for Faith Christian: the team is 2-1 when she posts at least 15 points, but 7-10 otherwise.

Timberlake Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Faith Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season.

Timberlake Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Faith Christian, they will face off against Westover Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Westover Christian Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Faith Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
