Colman-Egan is 0-3 against Sioux Valley since April of 2024 but things could change on Wednesday. The C-E Hawks will square off against the Cossack at 5:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Colman-Egan proved they can win big on Monday (they won by nine) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-10 win over Garretson. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the C-E Hawks have posted since April 20th.
Chloe Schmidt made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Schmidt was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Colman-Egan got a massive performance out of Chloe Bryan, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave Bryan a new career-high. Carlee Farris also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Colman-Egan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Garretson only posted an OBP of .405.
Meanwhile, Sioux Valley entered their tilt with Chester last Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Flyers 16-1. The result was nothing new for the Cossack, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.
McKinley Schwab was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). Schwab was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Kassidy Smith was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. Shelby Hai was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Colman-Egan's record is now 5-13. As for Sioux Valley, their record now sits at 11-3.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Colman-Egan hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .427. However, it's not like Sioux Valley struggles in that department as they've averaged .384. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Colman-Egan suffered a grim 21-4 defeat to Sioux Valley in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the C-E Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
