Central Magnet won the last time they faced Columbia Central and things went their way on Monday too. Central Magnet narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Columbia Central 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for Central Magnet.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Central Magnet got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-22, 22-25, 25-23, 20-25, 15-11.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gabby Bolton, who had 18 digs and three aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Blaire Lovell, who had 15 digs.

Central Magnet's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Columbia Central, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Central Magnet has already played their next game (against Forrest), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Columbia Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Tullahoma on the 26th.
