Basketball Recap: Gray-New Gloucester Comes Up Short

Gray-New Gloucester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 70-64 heartbreaker at the hands of the York Wildcats. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (55), the Patriots still had to take the loss.

Gray-New Gloucester's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for York, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gray-New Gloucester and Edward Little will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for York, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cape Elizabeth at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
