Basketball Recap: Harrisburg's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Harrisburg's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They took down the La Pine Hawks 42-23. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Hawks are ranked 217th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Harrisburg moved to 13-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for La Pine, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-14.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Harrisburg Eagles duke it out with the Elmira Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harrisburg is facing Elmira at the right time seeing as Elmira is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for La Pine, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-44 loss against Mazama on the 25th.
