Boswell came tearing into Friday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Lake Ridge Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 1-0 on Tuesday.

Boswell's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 27-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Lake Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16-3 record this season.
