Basketball Game Preview: Letchworth Legends vs. Caledonia-Mumford Raiders

Letchworth hasn't had much luck against Caledonia-Mumford recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Letchworth Legends will welcome the Caledonia-Mumford Raiders at 7:00 p.m.

On Friday, Letchworth ended up a good deal behind Le Roy and lost 68-49. While losing is never fun, the Legends can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the Oatkan Knights are ranked 133rd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Caledonia-Mumford). Everything went their way against Letchworth on Wednesday as Caledonia-Mumford made off with a 61-41 win. The victory was nothing new for the Raiders as they're now sitting on three straight.

Letchworth better keep an eye on Tyler Potter. He was instrumental in Caledonia-Mumford's win, going 9 for 19 on his way to 24 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Potter a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Foote, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds.

Caledonia-Mumford smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Caledonia-Mumford pushed their record up to 4-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Letchworth, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
