Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Haxtun ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They skirted past Limon 41-39. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Fightin' Bulldogs as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Haxtun's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Akron, their win bumped their record up to 12-10.

Akron and Haxtun were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in February, but Akron came up empty-handed after a 36-35 loss. Can Akron avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
