Baseball Recap: King William Cavaliers vs. Buckingham Knights
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only King William walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Buckingham Knights 3-2 on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cavaliers also won the last time the pair played back in June of 2024.
Daniel Burton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Grayson Reid was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
King William's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Buckingham, they moved to 18-2 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
Coming up, King William will take on John Battle at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Cavaliers surely won't give up without a fight. Buckingham does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
