Softball Recap: Lakeside Lancers vs. Citrus Hill Hawks
Lakeside had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 14-11 victory over the Citrus Hill Hawks. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 8-2 victory back in March.

Michaela Alvarado made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and six unearned) runs off 12 hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 5-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those five hits gave her a new career-high.
