Softball Recap: Workman Lobos vs. Pomona Red Devils
Workman had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Pomona Red Devils 15-1 on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Lobos, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Sydney Rivera was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Leana Sanchez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Pomona is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Workman will square off against Southlands Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Pomona will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on La Puente at 3:30 p.m. on March 11th.
