Basketball Recap: Coolidge Comes Up Short

The Coolidge Colts came up short against the Archbishop Carroll Patriots on Friday and fell 75-62.

When it comes to explaining why Coolidge lost, don't look at Kevin Jackson Jr.. Despite the final result, he went 12-for-22 en route to 32 points and three steals. The game was Jackson Jr.'s third in a row with at least 18 points. Eric Turner was another key player, dropping a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Coolidge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Archbishop Carroll, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Coolidge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 66-60 loss against St. Frances Academy on the 6th. As for Archbishop Carroll, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Malvern Prep at 6:00 p.m.
