Baseball Recap: Silverdale Academy Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against The Webb School, Silverdale Academy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Chattanooga Christian Chargers by a score of 8-5. The victory continues a trend for the Seahawks in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won four in a row.

Gavin Brock was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Drake Dills, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Silverdale Academy's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Chattanooga Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-12 record this season.

Silverdale Academy will host Walker Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chattanooga Christian, they will head out to square off against Hixson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
