Basketball Recap: Marvis Permenter's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Boynton Beach over Lake Worth Christian

Boynton Beach lost against Lake Worth Christian back in November of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Boynton Beach Tigers fell 74-65 to the Lake Worth Christian Defenders.

Boynton Beach lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Marvis Permenter, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 22 points and three steals. The match was Permenter's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Benjamin Everett, who went 8 for 14 en route to 17 points.

Landen Harwood was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 35 points and 11 rebounds for Lake Worth Christian. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Harwood has scored at least a third of Lake Worth Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Chase Troncale, who almost dropped a triple-double on 18 points, nine boards, and nine assists.

Boynton Beach's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Lake Worth Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-10.

Boynton Beach has already played their next game, a 79-33 win against Seminole Ridge on the 29th. As for Lake Worth Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-31 victory against Glades Day on the 30th.
