Baseball Game Preview: Kentwood Conquerors vs. Kennedy Catholic Lancers

For the second straight game, Kentwood will face off against Kennedy Catholic. The Conquerors will head out on the road to take on the Lancers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Kentwood's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over Kennedy Catholic. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Conquerors as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Not much got past Tyler Maurer, who gave up just four hits to keep Kennedy Catholic off the board. Maurer also tossed no walks, which is notable because Kentwood is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 3-8 otherwise.

At the plate, Kentwood's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jack Coleman, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
