Salem entered their tilt with Grassfield on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Grassfield Grizzlies by a score of 48-36.

Grassfield lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Lauren Priester, who posted 15 points and three steals. Priester has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 28 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Avia Scruggs, who put up eight points and six rebounds.

Salem's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Grassfield, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-1.

Salem will look to defend their home court on January 4, 2025 against Riverdale Baptist at 3:30 p.m. As for Grassfield, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 44-31 victory against Colonial Forge on the 27th.
