Softball Recap: Ridgeview Takes a Loss

Ridgeview blew Clay out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Clay got their revenge. The Ridgeview Panthers fell just short of the Clay Blue Devils by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Panthers have suffered since April 4, 2024.

Ridgeview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Kirk, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Ridgeview is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6. As for Clay, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgeview will venture away from home to square off against Oakleaf at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clay, they are taking a road trip to challenge Episcopal School of Jacksonville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clay is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
