Softball Preview: Argenta-Oreana Bombers vs. Blue Ridge Knights        
        
		
            
 The Argenta-Oreana Bombers will head out on the road to  take on  the Blue Ridge Knights at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Both teams come into the  match bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Argenta-Oreana put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season  on Saturday. They blew past St. Teresa 17-1. While fans of Argenta-Oreana might be used to big wins, the 16-run margin marked the team's biggest  win yet this season.
  Abby Jackson was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing four innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits (she also only allowed one  walk). Jackson was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with four  RBI, a  stolen base,  and a  double.
 In other batting news,  Miriah Powell was  incredible,  scoring three  runs while going 3-for-3.  Sophia Wicklund was another key contributor,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple.
 Meanwhile, Blue Ridge sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  an  11-9  victory over Georgetown-Ridge Farm  on Saturday. 11 seems to be a good number for Blue Ridge as the  team scooped up a  win with the same number of  runs in their previous game.
 The  victory  made it two in a row for Argenta-Oreana and  bumps their season record up to 6-2. As for Blue Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.
 Everything went Argenta-Oreana's way against Blue Ridge when the teams last played  back in April of 2023 as Argenta-Oreana made off with  a  14-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Argenta-Oreana since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
