Football Recap: Gilbert Falls Short of Newton in the Playoffs

Gilbert and Newton squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Gilbert had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 42-14 loss at the hands of the Cardinals. The loss was the Tigers' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Gilbert fell to 10-1. As for Newton, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

As of now, neither Gilbert nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
