Wenatchee lost against Sunnyside back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers came up short against the Grizzlies, falling 52-28.

Micah Knell threw for 113 yards and two TDs. Griffin Butler was his top target, picking up 107 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Michael Mahuika rushed for 121 yards and one touchdown.

Sunnyside's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Julian Villanueva, who threw for 331 yards and five TDs while completing 95.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 48 yards and one touchdown. Villanueva has become a key player for the Grizzlies: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise. Ryan Hendrickson was Villanueva's top target, picking up nine receiving yards.

Wenatchee's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Sunnyside, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-4.

Wenatchee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sunnyside, they will face off against Eisenhower at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
