Softball Recap: Piedmont Hills Extends Winning Streak to Five

Piedmont Hills extended their winning streak to five on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 15-4 in the process. They blew past the Christopher Cougars 9-0. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by seven runs or more this season.

Ava Delagrande was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Michelle Torres, who earned two runs and two stolen bases.

Piedmont Hills hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive contests.

As for Christopher, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-10. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

On Christopher's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Audrina Cabanlit, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.
